4th & Swift Brings New Flavors to Old Fourth Ward
Veteran Atlanta chef, Jay Swift – formerly of Rainwater and South City Kitchen – brings his passion and creative interpretation of seasonal comfort food to 4th & Swift.
Occupying the space that was formerly the engine room to Southern Dairies, the restaurant will retain many of the original elements. Exposed brick, concrete and beams will be updated with contemporary accents.
4th & Swift is scheduled to open late April or early May 2008.
The menu will be defined by stations of the kitchen – presenting both small and large plates in categories such as Wood, Grill and Smoke, Sauté and Braise, Pantry and Bake Shop. The kitchen will source products from sustainable and local farmers.
Swift is collaborating with Atlanta pastry chef, Kathryn King of Aria, to create “Bake Shop” selections.
4th & Swift is located at 621 North Avenue in the historic Old Fourth Ward.
