Introducing One Rooster Mongolian Bar

One Rooster Mongolian Bar recently opened its doors in the former The Real Chow Baby space on Howell Mill Road at the 1016 Lofts building. Mike Blum founded the create your own stir-fry The Real Chow Baby back in 2005. The restaurant served over half a million guests in the first year.

Blum sold the concept but stayed on until late 2009 as president, assisting in the development of additional locations, before resigning his position to move onto new projects. The original Howell Mill location closed late 2014 as the original lease had matured and Lincoln Properties approached Blum with an invitation to revitalize the space. His passion was ignited to enhance his original vision – with an emphasis on organic and local ingredients and a Polynesian twist in both menu offerings and décor.

Atmosphere – bright color palettes showcase the true stars of the show – the fresh fruits, vegetables, meats and seafood. Modern lighting illuminates carefully selected pieces from local artisans, flanked by accents of aged copper and polished concrete.

Food & Beverage – fresh market bar with a Polynesian flare; full of vegetables, rice, fresh noodles, seafood and shaved meats. New appetizer menu includes Crispy Char Siu Bao, Chicken Pot Stickers, Egg Rolls, Vegetable Gyoza and Sriricha Fries. The newly expanded bar overlooks Howell Mill and serves up an array of Asian-Pacific cocktails – including Tiki Classics and frozen cocktails.

Amenities – vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free options. Chefs are specifically trained to handle all dietary and allergy restrictions, utilizing separate cooking areas to prevent any cross contamination.
