Introducing One Rooster Mongolian Bar
One Rooster Mongolian Bar opened its doors on February 15, 2017 in the former The Real Chow Baby space on Howell Mill Road at the 1016 Lofts building. Mike Blum, the founder of The Real Chow Baby, brought forth in 2005 a concept that Atlanta had never seen before – create your own stir-fry. The success and growth of the brand was instant, serving over half a million guests in the first year alone; and received the city’s top dining accolades under Blum’s direction. As with most young entrepreneurs, instinct to sell struck fast, and Blum sold the concept to his partners and took time to travel and develop new concepts. Blum stayed on until late 2009 as president and consultant of the company, assisting in the development of additional locations, before resigning his position to move onto new projects. The original Howell Mill location closed late 2014 as the original lease had matured and Lincoln Properties approached Blum with an invitation to revitalize the space and restore it to its original glory. His passion was ignited to enhance his original vision – with an emphasis on organic and local ingredients and a Polynesian twist in both menu offerings and décor.

Striving to offer the freshest, all-natural ingredients available presented at our Mongolian Bar – grab your bowl and make it interesting! Our team of grill chefs prepares your bowl right in front of you on our massive circular flat top grill. The tradition of the Mongolian Grill is nothing short of a timeless legend; as Genghis Khan and the Mongolians moved across continents staking their claim – glorious feasts would be had, cooked atop their round shields over a roaring flame.
As Blum and his creative team breath new life back into the original space, the same is care is being brought to the space. Bright color palettes showcase the true stars of the show – the fresh fruits, vegetables, meats and seafood. Modern lighting illuminates carefully selected pieces from local artisans, flanked by accents of aged copper and polished concrete.

Once again elevating and re-thinking the “create your own stir-fry” model, One Rooster boasts the freshest market bar in the city with a Polynesian flare; full of vegetables, rice, fresh noodles, seafood and shaved meats. With a focus on all-natural, organic and local selections – the new market bar is perfect for the health-conscious diner. Our meats are hand-shaved and this time around we are adding new sauces and spices, all made in house, fresh, everyday. The new appetizer menu includes Crispy Char Siu Bao, Chicken Pot Stickers, Egg Rolls, Vegetable Gyoza and Sriricha Fries.
The newly expanded bar overlooks Howell Mill and serves up an array of Asian-Pacific cocktails – including Tiki Classics and frozen cocktails.
Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free options make One Rooster the most versatile environment for the health-conscious diner. Our skilled chefs are specifically trained to handle all dietary and allergy restrictions, utilizing separate cooking areas to prevent any cross contamination.
