Fifth Group Restaurants Names Brent Banda Executive Chef at Ecco

Fifth Group Restaurants is proud to appoint long-time Fifth Group chef Brent Banda to the executive chef position at Ecco.

Prior to joining the team at Ecco, Banda served as executive chef at the restaurant group’s Midtown seafood concept, Lure, for over two years. An integral part of Fifth Group Restaurants’ culinary team since early 2004, Banda has also served as sous chef and executive chef at La Tavola Trattoria, following a successful turn as sous chef at The Food Studio, a venue now utilized as an event space for Bold Catering & Design.

In his new role, Banda will oversee menu planning, creation and management at Fifth Group’s award-winning, European-inspired concept in the heart of Midtown. Working in tandem with the rest of the food and beverage team, Banda will further elevate Ecco’s offerings by rolling out seasonal dishes on an ongoing basis, while also continuing to execute Ecco favorites such as the fried goat cheese balls and wood-fired flatbreads.
