After COVID-19 postponed the 10th annual Atlanta Food & Wine Festival in May, the festival has been reimagined with a series of seminars and socially distanced meals Sept. 10-Sept. 19. And in an effort to give back to the restaurant community it’s celebrated for the past 10 years, 100% proceeds from the seminars go to the participating chefs, and 70% of the proceeds from the meals will go to participating restaurants.
Called AF&WF At Home Edition presented by Publix, the series of personal in-kitchen tutorials will encourage attendees to up their culinary game, learn expert techniques and how to recreate favorite recipes at home. Each class is hosted by a guest chef or mixologist who will guide viewers step-by-step through one of their signature recipes, answer questions live along the way, and conclude with a live Q&A. Participating local chefs include Deborah Van Trece, John Castelluci, Ron Hsu and Virginia Willis.
The series of live intimate brunches, lunches and dinners celebrate homegrown talent, with participating restaurants including Buttermilk Kitchen, Aziza, Tiny Lou’s, Char Korean Bar & Grill, Two Urban Licks and Lazy Betty. Tickets range from $100 to $195/person, and only a limited number of spots are off ered per event. All reservations are split by parties, and all venues will be following and practicing CDC guidelines to ensure the safety of guests.
