Saint-Germain French Bakery & Café is now open at Buckhead Village. Named after the Parisian neighborhood, Saint-Germain-des-Pres, the French bakery from husband-and-wife team Mathieu and Heather Jourdan-Gassin originally opened at Ponce City Market in 2016.
The new pâtisserie offers the same items as the original location, like classic French pastries, croissants, chouquettes, macarons, artisan organic chocolates and more. It will also offer a selection of wine and champagne by the glass with a focus on regions of France, organic and women-owned vineyards.
Born in the South of France, Mathieu and his spouse Heather opened Saint-Germain French bakery after working at French and American restaurants across Atlanta. Open daily from 8am-9pm at Buckhead Village, their café serves pastries, organic tea, coffee and espresso for breakfast, light lunch fare like croque monsieurs, quiches, grilled sandwiches, bites, soups and more, plus sweets and wines.
The pâtisserie also offers custom orders including catering and specialty cakes for occasions like birthdays, graduations, corporate events, etc., in addition to personalized boxes of six, eight or ten pastries, macaron towers featuring 18 flavors to choose from, and more available for delivery and take out via DoorDash, Grubhub and UberEats.
The 950-square-foot bakery and café features a Parisian-style interior with marble-topped tables, rattan chairs, and an outdoor patio area. Customers can order at a counter and dine on the restaurant’s patio, at café tables in the dining room or on the go.
