Atlanta’s cult-favorite smash burger spot NFA Burger will officially open the doors to its second location on May 15, in Alpharetta’s Avalon development. Building on the popularity of its original 100-square foot location in a Dunwoody Chevron, NFA will stay true to its roots while making the most of its new space. Founder Billy Kramer plans to bring along the signature counter service model, plus offer indoor and outdoor seating, a bar, plenty of TVs, and a walk-up window for easy cocktail + dessert takeaway. The restaurant will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Since opening in December 2019, the Not Foolin’ Around team has landed on best-of lists across the city and beyond. “Opening at Avalon marks a really exciting next step for NFA,” said Kramer. “From humble beginnings of recipe testing in my home kitchen, to community pop-ups, and then the Chevron station that started it all, it’s been a wild and rewarding ride seeing this vision become a reality.
Also expanding outside the Perimeter is Azotea Cantina, the Mexican restaurant owned by La Bonanza Hospitality Group in Atlantic Station. The restaurant will bring its Mexico City-inspired cuisine, rooftop vibes and creative cocktails to Roswell’s new Southern Post development.
“Roswell is consistently ranked among the top places to live in America, and we’re thrilled to be part of such a vibrant and growing community,” said La Bonanza Hospitality Group Owner and Founder, Diego Vazquez.
Designed by the acclaimed Office of Design, the new Roswell location was intentionally built for community gatherings. The restaurant’s construction features a two-story, curated space with hand-painted murals that blend contemporary artwork with hints of cultural flair. The main dining room can accommodate up to 60 guests. Azotea Cantina’s top floor offers an event space that overlooks the first floor and features a live music stage. The open-air patio, which seats 90 guests, is covered to protect diners from the southern sun and is overflowing with attractive greenery.
The restaurant will be open for lunch and dinner, seven days a week. The 19-seat bar will remain open until midnight on the weekends. Shortly after opening day, the restaurant will offer daily food and drink specials, similar to those at the original location, followed by the introduction of a weekend brunch.
