Yeppa & Co., known for its lively atmosphere and Italian flavor, opened a second location on May 20 at Junction Krog District. The Portman Holdings office building fronting the Atlanta Beltline, which also features Yuji, a Japanese-modern concept from Kinjo Enterprise, LLC and Brash Coffee Roasters, is located at the corner of Irwin Street and Auburn Avenue in Atlanta’s Inman Park, across from Krog Street Market. The development features 135,000 square feet of Class-A office space with private terraces, as well as a 7,000-square-foot public porch that Portman has activated with public art, including “Convergence,” an awe-inspiring sculpture by Atlanta-based artist Kevin Chambers.
Yeppa & Co., which first debuted at Buckhead Village in February, 2023, is owned by Yeppa Studios, the hospitality group also behind the MICHELIN-recommended restaurant and Italian marketplace Storico Fresco and the Roman-inspired restaurant Forza Storico in Westside Provisions. In 2024, the group expanded beyond Atlanta and is now finalizing the opening of Villa Yeppa, an Italian escape set on the grounds of Enio Ottaviani Winery in the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy.
The new Beltline location of Yeppa & Co. will open with a dinner-only menu Tuesday through Friday and all-day offerings on Saturdays and Sundays. The menu will feature taglieri, panini, insalate, antipasti, pizza focaccia, pasta, and fresh seafood inspired by the Adriatic coast. Yeppa & Co. will also introduce lunch service and a grab-and-go window in the coming months, serving espresso, gelato, panini and a selection of retail items.
Yeppa & Co. aims to embrace the energetic spirit of Rimini, Italy – the coastal town that inspired the original concept. The space will feature furnishings and decor sourced directly from Italy. Outdoors, there will be a spacious bar, covered and heated seating for year-round use, and sidewalk tables where guests can soak in the Beltline activity.
“The name ‘Yeppa’ holds personal significance, as the nickname of my mentor and close family friend while growing up in Rimini,” says co-founder Stephen Peterson. “Yeppa was a beloved restaurateur in town known for his exuberant spirit and love of entertaining. Today, we aim to bring that same energy and celebration of living life fully, passionately and authentically to our restaurants.”
Also opening an additional location last month was CT Cantina & Taqueria. Originally open in 2019 in Alpharetta’s Halcyon development, CT Cantina has since opened three more locations in Dania Point, Fla.; at Trillith Studios in Fayetteville; and most recently in Dunwoody’s Campus 244 Complex.
Part of Jalisco native Rafael Jamie’s restaurant empire, CT Cantina & Taqueria offers authentic Mexican food to reflect the food of Jamie’s childhood. “I want to teach people how to eat tacos like they do in Mexico, not the Tex-Mex or American version, but how I grew up enjoying them,” Rafael reflects.
The Dunwoody CT Cantina location serves lunch and dinner seven days a week, and the restaurant also began serving weekend brunch on May 31st.
