Lazy Betty’s founding Pastry Chef Lindsey Davis is back in the kitchen at Lazy Betty, and beginning September 9, she’s offering a four-course Dessert Tasting Menu available in the restaurant’s Bar Lounge. Served nightly for a maximum of 12 guests, the new menu will feature four rotating, standard-sized desserts. A beverage pairing, including one dessert wine, one cocktail and one glass of sparkling wine, will be available for an additional cost.
Desserts on the new menu include:
- Crisp Apple – green apple siphon & olive oil ice cream
- Sweet Potato Sable – coconut sorbet, calamansi, spiced graham cracker crumb, toasted italian meringue & mandarins
- Vanilla Noisette – vanilla hazelnut praline, mille feuille, hazelnut cream, vanilla caramel, vanilla cream & dulcey ice cream
- Cookies & Cream Bar – vanilla mascarpone cream, caramel milk, brown butter dulce crumb, salted white chocolate ice cream, toasted chocolate cake crumbs & chocolate shell
On the same date, Davis will also begin offering whole cakes for Lazy Betty diners celebrating special occasions at the restaurant. Cakes are available in various sizes, flavors and styles (entremet and traditional), and will be presented to the guest(s) of honor at the end of their tasting menu dinner. Cakes must be ordered five days in advance of a guest’s dinner reservation by calling or emailing the restaurant.
Lazy Betty continues to feature tasting menus created by Chef-Partner and Culinary Director Ron Hsu and Chef-Partner and Executive Chef Aaron Phillips. Opened in March 2019, the restaurant became one of only a few Atlanta restaurants to receive a MICHELIN star in October 2023. The restaurant maintained its star in 2024, and has also received two James Beard Award nominations – one for Best Chef Southeast – Chefs Ron Hsu and Aaron Phillips in 2022 and a semi-finalist nomination for Best New Restaurant in 2020. The restaurant was named “Best New Restaurant” by Atlanta Magazine and “Restaurant of the Year” by Eater Atlanta during its inaugural year.
