Amasa Mexican Kitchen, a new sister restaurant to Atlanta’s Chichería Mexican Kitchen, is set to open in summer 2026 at City Center in downtown Alpharetta.
“Bringing Amasa to Alpharetta is incredibly exciting for us,” said owner Juan Calle. “We’re building on what guests already love about Chichería while introducing new experiences, from our seafood-forward menu to our tequila program and live entertainment. We can’t wait to welcome the community.”
Continuing the Baja California inspiration that has made Chichería a local favorite, Amasa will offer a menu of vibrant Mexican dishes, including house-made blue corn tortillas. Amasa aims to deliver a dining experience unlike any other Mexican restaurant in Alpharetta, with a fully gluten-free menu focused on bold flavors and high-quality ingredients.
The restaurant will feature a dynamic social atmosphere, with communal tables upstairs and two private dining rooms downstairs for more intimate gatherings.
In addition to its daily offerings, Amasa will introduce its Sunday cazuela brunch buffet, inspired by the flavors of Mexico City. Evening programming will include live jazz, saxophone performances and Spanish singer-songwriters, creating an energetic and immersive dining experience.
Amasa will also be family-friendly, offering thoughtful menu options for children, and will host a variety of culinary events such as multi-course tastings, tequila classes and dancing lessons. A dedicated tequila room and premium margarita flights will further enhance the guest experience.
Located in the heart of downtown Alpharetta, City Center is a vibrant, walkable destination known for its mix of chef-driven restaurants, retail and community gathering spaces.
