John Sawyer presents Restaurant INFORMER’s 10-year check to Naomi Green of The Giving Kitchen
On October 14, Restaurant INFORMER put on its 10-year anniversary celebration during the Atlanta Foodservice Expo happy hour. The GRA, chefs including Michael Deihl and ACF-ACA President Kully Crean, along with longtime industry supporters and advertisers, raised a toast to the 10th year of publication for the Georgia Restaurant Association’s magazine. To wrap up the celebration, John Sawyer, publisher of Restaurant INFORMER, presented a check to Naomi Green, Director of Partnerships at The Giving Kitchen, a non-profit dedicated to providing crisis grants to members of the restaurant community facing unanticipated hardship.
For a decade, Restaurant INFORMER has delivered news and information to thousands of restaurant owners, operators and chefs in Georgia. Restaurant INFORMER essentially is a place for Georgia’s restaurateurs to exchange ideas and information with industry colleagues, helping everyone learn and grow their businesses.
Because Restaurant INFORMER is specific to Georgia, featuring restaurateurs and chefs that many in the industry know personally, it is a compelling read for its 4,000 subscribers. The magazine’s first issue (under the name Restaurant Forum) featured chef and restaurant owner Kevin Rathbun shortly after he opened Rathbun’s restaurant. Since then, 76 issues have mailed to thousands of restaurant professionals in Georgia.
With this 10-year anniversary, the magazine is enhancing its appeal with new graphic design elements and will publish a special retrospective in the January/February 2015 issue.
