Tacos & Tequilas Mexican Grill on Ponce De Leon Ave in Atlanta, a member of the La Bonanza Hospitality Group, will reopen in late 2025 or early 2026 following extensive renovations. The restaurant is currently closed on a temporary basis, following a kitchen hood fire that occurred in the early morning hours of June 1.
La Bonanza has shared that the restaurant’s reopening date will depend on construction timing. Currently, the company is actively working with Office of Design, the Avondale Estates-based architecture and design firm, to renovate the space, as well as working with the City of Atlanta to obtain all necessary permits in time for reopening.
The company stated that they are deeply grateful that no injuries occurred during the June incident, and they commended the swift and professional response of Atlanta’s emergency services.
Tacos & Tequilas Mexican Grill, which debuted in 2010, has expanded in the Atlanta market to include locations in Buford, Buckhead, Cumming, Midtown, and a newly opened Lawrenceville/Snellville location. The brand also operates full-service catering and food trucks through Bonnza Catering. La Bonanza Hospitality Group also operates Azotea Cantina in Midtown Atlanta.
