The ZiNG! Thing “Points South”, the first book in a family of exploratory episodes in regional cuisine, is officially available nationwide. Authored by Trish Rogers, founding partner with Oregon winery R. Stuart & Co, and Todd Rushing, a partner in Atlanta-based Concentrics Restaurants, The ZiNG! Thing “Points South” book utilizes the Zing! principles using the actual chemistry in wine and food pairing in order to find the ultimate ZiNG! thing.
“ZiNG! is togetherness. Food and wine wonderful togetherness that is; that magical spark, the pizzazz that happens when things unite are just way better together than alone. Using un-biased chemistry to explain and understand it all, this method of food & wine pairing is fun, and much easier than you think. Most importantly…it works!” explains Trish Rogers.
“Growing up in the South brings with it a definition of what you like to eat, drink, and talk about. Nowhere else in this country, outside of the food service culture, do people talk about food more than Southerners. The adventure of finding ZiNG!s with Southern foods was a challenge I just couldn’t pass up. Conversations about acid, alcohol, tannins, viscosity, sugar, fruit, umami, fat, and salt… all fun as we broke down the dishes and wines to their elements. I can’t tell you what a joy it is to have the adventure of finding a ZiNG! thing” says Todd Rushing.
The Zing! Thing “Points South” is available for purchase on Amazon for $14.99.
