The Georgia Restaurant Association (GRA), in collaboration with Inuit, will provide 20 Atlanta-area restaurants $100,000 as a part of the Quickbooks Restaurant Relief Initiative.
Like many restaurants nationwide, Atlanta restaurants have been impacted by the pandemic, labor shortages, supply chain issues and inflation. And, while the city’s surviving restaurant rate was up 7% in Sept. 2021 compared to Sept. 2019, recovery hasn’t been easy for those businesses with revenue below $250,000. Restaurants that fell within this annual net revenue category applied for a $5,000 grant to cover payroll and operating expenses to help employ and retain staff.
“We are delighted to see global companies with a local presence take an active role in the ongoing recovery of the restaurant. industry in Georgia,” says Karen Bremer, CAE, President and CEO of the GRA. “These grants will make an immediate impact on the recipients who we know work very hard to keep staff happy and run a thriving business.”
