Zagat’s annual restaurant ratings were just released, and Buckhead’s Aria has received the highest cumulative score of Atlanta restaurants.
“It’s always an honor to be included in the Zagat survey,” explains owner and executive chef Gerry Klaskala. “But to be a top-rated restaurant this year is a really great feeling. A lot of the credit goes to Andres Loaiza, our general manager and wine director, and his devoted team of service professionals. We’re proud of what we do at Aria, and to have been doing it for as long as we have—we’re really honored and grateful.”
Klaskala’s core team includes Loaiza and longtime pastry chef Kathryn King. In addition to Loaiza and King, chef de cuisine Brandon Hughes plays an important role in creating a quality dining experience for guests as Klaskala’s right-hand man in the kitchen.
Zagat ratings and reviews are compiled through surveys completed by thousands of people in the Atlanta-area. The results and opinions are used to create the ratings and reviews, which are published online and in hard copy Zagat guides. Restaurants receive a number score in food, décor and service, with the highest score being 30. Aria’s fine American cuisine received a food score of 28, a décor score of 26 and a service score of 27.
