Ford Fry recently announced his new restaurant Little Sparrow will take over the former JCT Kitchen and Bar space. Located in the Westside Provisions District, Little Sparrow will be a casual eatery inspired by old Brooklyn taverns and European cafés and bistros. Additionally, Bar Blanc will be the new bar and steak friterie located above Little Sparrow. The two new concepts are slated to open later this fall.
Little Sparrow is located across the bridge from one of Ford’s other concepts, Marcel, and is designed to be a more casual, everyday experience. The design features historic touches of leather, marble, zinc and steel.
Located just above Little Sparrow will be Bar Blanc, featuring a French-forward menu of steak and frites. Bar Blanc will be first-come, first-serve, guided by a host and executed by servers and assistants to control the experience. The bar itself is vintage and reclaimed from an early 1900’s Belgian place. With only 35 interior and 50-60 exterior seats, the bar will have an additional lounge to enjoy cocktails while waiting to be seated.
