Industry vet Brett Crowder will lead the charge in NFA’s next chapter, as the team starts to seek sites for future locations in Atlanta and beyond.
Crowder brings his 20 years of experience to NFA Burger, which has been operated by Billy Kramer and his staff. The University of Georgia alum’s resume includes consulting for Dantanna’s, DASH Hospitality, Slutty Vegan and most recently, H&H Hospitality (which manages and operates Atlanta airport restaurants including Shake Shack and Bobby’s Burger Palace). Versed in all things burgers, Kramer and Crowder will work hand in hand to expand NFA’s footprint – with the goal of opening up to four new locations in the next couple of years, as well as exploring both franchising and licensing opportunities.
“I’m honored that Brett will join NFA Burger as our first Chief Operating Officer,” said Kramer. “He brings well over 20 plus years of restaurant experience to our team, and will be responsible for executing NFA Burger’s nationwide expansion plans, which include but are not limited to increasing NFA’s owned and operated locations as well as franchising and licensing opportunities. Our immediate expansion target list includes Smyrna, Marietta, Roswell, Alpharetta, Chamblee, Brookhaven, Norcross, Woodstock, Canton, Lawrenceville and Tucker.”
NFA Burger started as a passion project as Kramer set out to make the perfect burger. After months of loyally followed pop-ups across the city, it opened in its current Chevron space in December 2019. Since then, Billy has served more than 200,000+ burgers to fans from across the country – many of whom sought out the restaurant during a road trip through, or travel to, Atlanta – and has become a true Dunwoody community staple.
“I’m excited to start the next chapter of my career as NFA Burger’s Chief Operating Officer. I’ve been watching NFA since the day they opened,” shares Crowder. “Every time I visited NFA, one thing was clear… while the business was limited due to size, everything I saw led me to believe they would be ready to grow from the original location into a national brand when the time was right.”
